Why choose us

Why Choose a Resin Patio

If your patio is a patchwork of cracked or uneven slabs, or the joints are full of weeds and moss every spring, a resin patio is one of the easiest ways to get the garden back. There are no joints to re-point and nothing to lift. Most of the time, a sweep and a gentle wash is all it needs.

Resin also copes well with the way people actually use their gardens. Chairs and tables sit level, it's comfortable underfoot, and the textured stone finish gives good grip when it's wet. It's a popular choice in Milton Keynes gardens where the back door opens straight onto the patio and a smooth, step-free threshold makes life easier.

What's included

What's Included in Every Resin Patio

Levels and falls

Every patio is laid with a gentle fall away from the house, so water never runs towards your walls or door.

A suitable base

We check your existing slabs or concrete, and if they're loose or cracked we lift them and lay a new, free-draining base.

Edging and borders

Neat edging where the patio meets lawn, gravel or planting, so the edges stay crisp and nothing creeps in.

Thresholds and steps

Careful detailing at doors and steps, including step-free thresholds where your levels allow.

Colour matching

Choose a blend that matches your resin driveway or path, or contrasts with it on purpose.

Costs

Resin Patio Cost in Milton Keynes

Patios are priced per square metre in the same way as driveways. The biggest difference in cost is whether your existing surface can stay or has to come up.

What affects the price of a resin patio?

  • What's there now. Overlaying sound concrete is cheapest. Lifting old slabs and laying a new base costs more.
  • Access. If the only way into your back garden is through the house or down a narrow side passage, materials take longer to move.
  • Shape and edges. Curves, steps and cut-outs round drains or trees add time.
  • Combining jobs. Doing a patio, path and driveway together usually works out cheaper per square metre than three separate visits.

FAQs

Resin Patio FAQs

Can a resin patio go over old slabs?

Sometimes. If the slabs are firmly bedded, level and not cracked, we can prepare them and lay resin over the top. If they rock or have sunk, they need lifting first.

Is a resin patio slippery when wet?

A resin bound surface has a textured, stony finish that gives good grip in the wet. On a shaded or sloping patio, an anti-slip additive can be mixed in for extra grip.

Will a resin patio stain?

Resin resists most everyday spills, but oils and barbecue fat should be wiped up promptly. A gentle wash with warm water and a mild detergent deals with most marks.
